BLADE at the Monaco Grand Prix - FAQs

Due to road closures the day of the Grand Prix, Sunday May 26, from 3pm - 8:30pm, pick ups will only be available from the pick up point at rue Aureglia, Monaco.

Getting to the Heliport After the Grand Prix

Pick ups after the Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon will only be available at the BLADE pick up point at rue Louis Aureglia, Monaco

Getting to the Heliport All Other Days

Pick ups are available 30 minutes before your flight at your home or hotel, located in Monaco, during the entire weekend of the Grand Prix (except for Sunday afternoon).
We suggest that passengers schedule pick-up at their hotel 2 hours prior to their commercial flight departure at Nice Airport.

At the Heliport

When you arrive at the Monaco heliport, follow the signs to the right area of the heliport: by-the-seat flight or charter flight. Our Fliers Relations team will be there to assist you if you have any questions. 
Have your passport in hand, please note a government-approved ID is required to fly.

Do I need a Passport?

As a reminder, for your BLADE flight Monaco, each passenger is required to bring a passport or other government-approved I.D. Keep it close by when you arrive at the airport, your check-in will be faster. Please note, a U.S. driver’s license is NOT considered an acceptable form of ID.

Ground Connect: what you need to know

We are pleased to inform you that we can arrange pick-up for your helicopter flight from your accommodation in Monaco. However, please note that pick-up needs to be done 30 minutes before the scheduled flight.
Important: On Sunday May 26, pick-up will only be possible at rue Louis Aureglia, Monaco. 

What Luggage is Included with my Flight?

  • One carry-on bag (55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm - Max 10 kg / 21.65 inches x 15.75 inches x 7.87 inches - Max 22 lbs )
  • One small personal item (ie purse or briefcase)

All luggage is subject to the Operator’s discretion. Additional luggage requires Operator’s pre-approval. BLADE nor Operators assume liability for lost, damaged, or delayed luggage. We encourage our passengers to use soft bags.

Have More Luggage?

If your luggage requires special care (fragile luggage or dimensions outside the authorized standard) you must contact BLADE flier relations at reservations.eu@blade.com or +33-9-78-46-00-09 at least 24 hours in advance.  

Any luggage that does not meet the required standard will be transported as soon as possible by air or land and subject to an additional charge at the expense of the passenger.

How do I find the BLADE desk at the Nice Airport?

Terminal 1 - Ground Floor

All our by-the-seat flights from Nice to Monaco will be from Terminal 2. If your commercial flight lands at Terminal 1, please reach our BLADE desk at Terminal 2, using Airport Tramway (2 min) available right after the exit of Terminal 1.
All our charters to Monaco will be from Terminal 1

For terminal 1, after clearing immigration, follow posted signage toward baggage claim. There will be a short escalator taking you down toward baggage claim. Claim your luggage (if you have checked luggage) and follow posted signage toward the exit (black signage that says “Sortie / Exit”).

You will exit via two sliding doors and the Monacair / BLADE desk can be found on your left-hand side.

Terminal 2 - Ground Floor

All our by-the-seat flights from Nice to Monaco will be from Terminal 2. Il you booked a charter flight, and if your commercial flight lands at Terminal 2, please reach our BLADE desk at Terminal 1, using Airport Tramway (2 min) available right after the exit of Terminal 2.

Upon Arrival to Terminal 2 section A1, follow signage to clear customs. Claim your luggage (if you have checked bags) then follow posted signage toward baggage claim #2. Approximately 10 feet beyond the baggage claim two, on the left hand side, you will see an exit door with a lighted green sign on top of the door. Follow the main hallway straight for approximately 250 feet and the BLADE check in desk will be located on your immediate left.

Upon Arrival to Terminal 2 section A3, follow signage to clear customs. Claim your luggage (if you have checked bags) then follow signage toward baggage claim #6.

You will see a black sign located approximately 5 feet beyond baggage claim #6 labeled “Exit /Sortie”. Follow the posted signage to exit the baggage claim area. After exiting the double sliding doors, proceed right toward the “Chez Jean” bodega. Then bear left and you will see a row of airline style check-in desks. The BLADE desk is the last desk on the left.

Already in Nice?

If you are already in Nice please go the Blade Desk on the ground floor & meet our team at Terminal 2, at least 15 minutes before your scheduled BLADE flight.
